It's that time of the year, again!

Christmas has come around again and this will be my final post for 2024. As the year rapidly draws to a close,  I'd like to take the opportunity to wish all readers a Merry Christmas and a very happy 2025 for you and your family.

In the last few months, I have received several 3D resin printed railway objects. Among these were  some British semaphore signals in 00 scale. While I don't have a use for these on Philip's Creek, I assembled one as an experiment. It went together well but is delicate. It is currently being used to control Santa's train.

Work on Philip's Creek has slowed as other obligations have demanded time although scenery work on the northern end of Philip's Creek station in the vicinity of the goods shed and flour mill continues. One of those other tasks was decorating for Christmas. While I was recovering the Christmas decorations from the crawl space in the garage roof, I realised that I had a view of Philip's Creek rarely seen. These few photos give an overall impression of the layout's upper level.

I mentioned earlier that I have recently received several 3D prints of railway and associated objects. Two of these were tractors, which, when assembled and painted became wagon loads. I continue to be impressed by the level of detail which can be included in these prints, although removing the numerous supports can, sometimes, put that detail at risk.

These two tractors were successfully assembled and passed through Philip's Creek en route to Muswellbrook. From there, one was transshipped to Kingston Plains requiring it to pass back through Phillips Creek again.
